I have always loved art. I started with photography at the age of 15. I would walk the streets of Aix-en-Provence with my camera, trying to preserve images that caught my eye, in black and white. Soon after, I enjoyed working in the lab to develop my pictures.
Today, I understand why I loved working in the lab: I was a part of the creation of my art not just capturing what I saw. To create and to be able to invent my own world had a very strong desire.
I went to Paris for University and quickly joined Les Beaux Arts de Montparnasse. I attended evening drawing classes and private lessons to learn how to draw. My teachers were happy with me and my drawings, but often told me that my drawings were not just representations of reality...always this desire to shape my world. I also studied in the Atelier Etrusco in Perugia, Italy. My Argentine teacher encouraged me to use brushes and use color...finally!
Back in Paris for my first job, I joined Patrice Fouilhoux’s studio, where I was able to break free and find my style.
After 10 years of working in the tech industry, I decided to go back to school and attended Les beaux Arts de Versailles where I learned other drawing and painting techniques and discovered other artists - Jasper John, Joan Mitchell, Gerhard Richter - who really cultivated my creativity.
In 2011 my family and I moved to San Francisco, where I decided to dedicate myself entirely to my art. Here, my work evolved. This beautiful, dynamic, and positive city where everything seemed possible was an inspiration for my creations. It inspired me to explore new media - surfboard painting, sculpture, and ceramics.
For 10 years, I have dedicated myself to Art, either teaching or creating. I like to paint in various styles which allow me to experiment. I have created many different series, all very distinct from one another. These series are worlds where anyone can enter and be a part of it. Through my work, I want to give people a window to their inner self and escape their everyday life.
Harmony is something I try to convey in my art. I believe that nature is perfect: colors, proportions, shapes, functions. So instead of trying to recreate it, I try to create a harmony that complements the perfection I feel in a specific moment.
In San Francisco and now in Lisbon, I exhibited my art in various galleries and in prestigious places. My paintings are scattered everywhere in the world (Italy, France, USA, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, and soon Singapore).
